The first heart racing activity will be held at historic City Park located on 17th Ave. between York and Colorado Blvd. The 5K Run / Walk begins at 9:00 AM. The newly designed park offers a fast 5K course that allows you to view all the beautiful landscaping, lakes, and Denver skyline. There is a good chance you will hear the wild animals at the Denver Zoo cheer you on while you are on the course! Post race activities will give you an opportunity to visit with our fantastic sponsors, enjoy lots of free snacks and drinks, and most importantly find the person with that bib number you just chased down for 3.1 miles!

After the race go home to rest up, clean up, and dress up for a night of food, fun, and mingling. Trade in your running shoes for dancing shoes and join us for a post race party with endless possibilities. A private evening mingle will be hosted by SM5K at one of Denver’s hottest new venues. Beta Night Club will be the host of the SM5K 2009 Evening Mingle to give you an opportunity to meet new friends and hopefully get your heart racing again.

Beta is located between 19th and 20th St. on Blake St. one block south of Coors Field. Come see their cutting edge Lighting, Sound, and Video system and enjoy drink specials and complimentary hors d’oeuvres from 7 – 10 PM. Beta offers over 16,000 sq. ft. of entertainment inside and a 5,000 sq. ft. Garden outside which offers an unforgettable botanical experience. With the cool grass, tall hedges, and many flowers, it will be hard to believe you are in downtown Denver.

This full day of heart racing activity is all included in your race entry fee. If you would like to bring a guest to the Evening Mingle, or can't make the morning run, there will be a $20 charge per person with a portion going towards Colorado’s Helping Hands Foundation. If you will only attend the Evening Mingle it is not necessary to register.
